The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, is Britain’s newest indoor real snow skiing, snowboarding snow sports destination. The Snow Centre is designed to deliver the alpine conditions every skier and snowboarder dream of. Here you’ll find a huge 160m main slope as well as the largest indoor lesson slope in the UK.
If you liked the pace of life to be a little slower than Dacorum has a great deal to offer. The tranquil surroundings of the rolling Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are close at hand while beautiful parkland in Hemel Hempstead has excellent family recreation facilities to offer including; Crazy Golf, Croquet, giant Chess and Draughts, playgrounds and bowling greens. The Grand Union Canal flows right through the heart of the borough, from Kings Langley on the south through the centre of Hemel Hempstead and on to Berkhamsted then pass Tring.
Dacorum is stepped in culture, great examples include, Berkhamsted Castle, one of the oldest examples of a motte and bailey castle in the country, the Natural history Museum in Tring and Frogmore Paper Mill, the world’s oldest mechanised paper mill to name but a few.
